Immigration Law is linked to the nationality of the foreigner and the existence of the principle of international reciprocity.
The status that allows staying in the country is granted to a foreigner subject to the activity he/she intends to pursue on being admitted into the country. To that effect, the foreign national must comply with the requirements established in the Law and its Regulations in order to obtain the authorization from the Ministry of the Interior through the National Migration Institute.
